यदा प्राणो अभ्यवर्षीद् वर्षेण पृथिवीं महीम्। ओषधयः प्र जायन्तेऽथो याः काश्च वीरुधः
yadā́ prā́ṇo ’bhyávārṣīd várṣeṇa pṛthivī́ṃ mahī́m | óṣadhayaḥ prá jāyante ’thó yā́ḥ kā́ś ca vīrúdhaḥ ||
When Breath rained down upon the mighty Earth with rain, then spring forth the healing herbs, and also whatsoever plants there be.
Lorsque le Souffle fit pleuvoir sur la grande Terre, la puissante, alors jaillissent les herbes de guérison, et aussi toutes les plantes, quelles qu’elles soient, les vīrudh.
