अपो देवी र्मधुमतीर्घृतश्चुतो ब्रह्मणां हस्तेषु प्रपृथक् सादयामि । यत् काम इदमभिषिञ्चामि वोऽहं तन्मे सर्वं सं पद्यतां वयं स्याम पतयो रयीणाम्
ápaḥ devī́r mádhumatīr ghṛtaścúto bráhmaṇāṃ hásteṣu prá pṛthák sādáyāmi | yát kā́ma idám abhísiñcāmi vo ’háṃ tán me sárvaṃ sáṃ padyatāṃ vayáṃ syā́ma pátayo rayīṇā́m
The Waters—Goddesses, honeyed, ghee-distilling—upon the Brahmans’ hands I set forth, each in due portion. What wish I, sprinkling this on you, do utter—may that for me, all of it, wholly prosper; may we be lords of riches.
Les Eaux—Déesses, miellées, distillant le ghee—je les dispose sur les mains des brahmanes, chacune selon sa juste part. Quel désir je prononce en vous aspergeant de ceci—qu’il s’accomplisse pour moi tout entier; puissions-nous être maîtres des richesses.
