Sukta 7
yát paramám avamáṃ yác ca madhyamáṃ prajā́patiḥ sasṛjé viśvárūpam | kíyatā skambháḥ prá viveśa tátra yán ná prā́viśat kíyat tád babhūva ||
What highest, what lowest, and what is middle—Prajāpati created, of universal form: by what measure did Skambha enter therein? what, that he entered not—how great was that become?
Rishi: Atharvanic/anonymous (Skambha hymn complex).
Devata: Skambha (brahman) with Prajāpati as subordinate creator-agent.
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like cadence is possible in parts, but the Saunaka tradition commonly scans this section as mixed; often catalogued under anuṣṭubh/triṣṭubh variability in speculative hymns.
