व्यास उवाच वसिष्ठेन पुरा गीतं सूतैतत्ते मयोदितं पराविद्यापराविद्यास्वरूपं परमं पदम्

vyāsa uvāca vasiṣṭhena purā gītaṃ sūtaitatte mayoditaṃ parāvidyāparāvidyāsvarūpaṃ paramaṃ padam

Vyāsa dit : Ô Sūta, je t’ai maintenant exposé ceci—ce que Vasiṣṭha chanta jadis—la vraie nature de la connaissance supérieure (parā-vidyā) et de la connaissance inférieure (aparā-vidyā), ainsi que l’état suprême, le but le plus élevé.
