The Essence of the Gītā

It teaches the inner-ritual doctrine that the true Adhiyajña (presiding principle of sacrifice) is the Lord present within the body, and that death-time remembrance functions as the decisive spiritual practice.
Alongside ritual manuals and worldly sciences, the Agni Purana also preserves concise soteriology: it integrates yajña-theory (adhiyajña) with bhakti-yoga psychology (final-moment remembrance) as a complete religious system.
It asserts that sustained devotion culminating in remembrance at death leads to attaining the Lord’s state (mad-bhāva), overriding doubt about the soul’s post-mortem trajectory.
