Īśvara (The Lord, speaking as the instructing deity in this chapter’s dialogue frame—commonly transmitted within Agni Purāṇa’s didactic narration)

Related Themes: Agni Purana 90 (Abhiṣekādi-kathana); Agni Purana 91 (Vividha-mantrādi-kathana)
It prescribes a practical abhiṣeka sequence: after consecration, worship Śiva, Viṣṇu, and Sūrya (and other deities), and perform ritual bathing using pañcagavya accompanied by auspicious instrument sounds (conch and drums).
It functions like a compact ritual manual entry—cataloging materials (pañcagavya), liturgical ambience (śaṅkha-bherī), and a multi-deity worship order—illustrating how the Agni Purāṇa preserves procedural temple/household worship knowledge alongside other sciences.
Abhiṣeka with ritually pure substances like pañcagavya is framed as purification and sanctification—honoring major deities and intensifying auspiciousness—thereby supporting merit (puṇya), inner cleansing, and devotional consecration of the worship rite.
