अधिवासनं नाम निर्वाणदीक्षायाम्

Adhivāsana in the Nirvāṇa-dīkṣā

कर्तर्या छेदनं कुर्यात् कल्पशस्त्रेण तद्यथा ॐ हूं निवृत्तिकलापाशाय हूं फट् ॐ हं हं हां आत्मने नम इति ख, चिह्नितपुस्तकपाठः शिखात्मने ख, चिह्नितपुस्तकपाठः पञ्चपञ्चाहुतीर्दद्यादिति ग, ङ, चिह्नितपुस्तकपाठः बन्धकत्वञ्च निर्वर्त्य हस्ताभ्याञ्च शराणुना

kartaryā chedanaṃ kuryāt kalpaśastreṇa tadyathā oṃ hūṃ nivṛttikalāpāśāya hūṃ phaṭ oṃ haṃ haṃ hāṃ ātmane nama iti kha, cihnitapustakapāṭhaḥ śikhātmane kha, cihnitapustakapāṭhaḥ pañcapañcāhutīrdadyāditi ga, ṅa, cihnitapustakapāṭhaḥ bandhakatvañca nirvartya hastābhyāñca śarāṇunā

On doit accomplir la coupe (c’est-à-dire la rupture de l’entrave) avec des ciseaux, au moyen de l’arme rituelle prescrite (kalpa-śastra), ainsi : « Oṃ hūṃ — au nœud coulant de la série des kalā de Nivṛtti — hūṃ phaṭ. » (Dans certains manuscrits marqués, on lit : « Oṃ haṃ haṃ hāṃ, salutations à l’ātman », ou « au śikhātmā » ; et dans quelques leçons on ajoute : « on doit offrir cinq séries de cinq oblations ».) Ayant ainsi établi l’état de bandhaka (condition de ligature), on doit aussi agir des deux mains, au moyen d’un instrument semblable à une flèche ou à une tige (śarāṇu).
