De même, sur le siège de droite, il doit faire asseoir celui dont le visage est doux et paisible. Et il doit se représenter (le courant vital) comme étant sorti du corps du disciple, tel la suṣumṇā, le canal subtil central.

It gives a procedural instruction for a yogic/tantric visualization: seating on the right-hand āsana and mentally conceiving a subtle ‘departure’ from the disciple’s body in the form of the suṣumṇā (central channel).
Beyond mythology, the Agni Purana preserves practical inner-ritual and yogic techniques (nāḍī doctrine, visualization methods, initiation-style procedures), showing its coverage of applied spiritual technologies alongside other sciences.
The instruction emphasizes disciplined visualization and channel-awareness (suṣumṇā-centered focus), aiming at purification and controlled movement of subtle energy—key for steadiness of mind and efficacy in higher yogic practice.
