Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Tantra","secondary_vidya":"Mantra","practical_application":"Nyāsa and installation: placing Śiva ‘with limbs’ (sāṅga) and His seat (āsana) onto the worshipper/ritual body; then installing into the eyes either sequentially or via heart-centered method.","sutra_style":true}

Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Procedure","entry_title":"Śiva-sāṅga-nyāsa and Netra/Hṛd-adhyāropa (installation into eyes or via heart)","lookup_keywords":["nyāsa","śiva sāṅga","āsana-vinyāsa","netra-nyāsa","hṛd-nyāsa"],"quick_summary":"After preliminary worship, install Śiva and His aṅgas plus āsana onto the body; complete by placing the deity into the eyes (each eye) or by a single heart-mediated installation."}

Concept: Deity is internalized: pūjā culminates in identification/installation (nyāsa) where perception (eyes) and consciousness (heart) become Śiva’s seat.

Application: Perform aṅga-nyāsa and āsana-nyāsa, then choose netra-by-netra installation for precision or hṛd-based installation for unified absorption, depending on paddhati.

Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi (Shiva-puja / Nyasa and installation rites)

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A devotee’s body is treated as a living altar: the priest performs nyāsa gestures over limbs and seat, then touches the eyes (one by one) or the heart to install Śiva’s presence after flower worship.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural, frontal figure of devotee with stylized nyāsa hand-gestures, Śiva’s subtle presence indicated by a small liṅga/halo, emphasis on eyes and heart with symbolic marks, flat sacred geometry.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore, gold-leaf aura around the devotee’s head and chest, priest’s hand near the eyes, floral offerings in foreground, ornate Śaiva motifs (tripuṇḍra, triśūla) in border.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore painting, clear instructional depiction of nyāsa points on body, two variants shown: eye-by-eye and heart-based; fine linework, soft shading, readable ritual sequence.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, intimate ritual moment with delicate gestures toward eyes/heart, detailed flowers and vessels, subtle luminous overlay suggesting Śiva’s installation, refined interior setting."}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: तच्छरीरे = तत् + शरीरे; साङ्गम् = स + अङ्गम्; सासनम् = स + आसनम्; पुष्पादिपूजितस्यास्य = पुष्प + आदि + पूजितस्य + अस्य

FAQs

It teaches nyāsa: ritually installing Śiva (with His aṅgas and āsana) into the worship-body or visualized form, specifically directing the installation into the eyes either sequentially (eye-by-eye) or centrally through the heart.

By preserving precise procedural details of pūjā—nyāsa loci (eyes/heart), sequencing (“then”), and installation components (aṅga, āsana)—it functions like a practical ritual manual alongside the Purana’s many other knowledge-systems.

The instruction sacralizes perception (the eyes) and inner consciousness (the heart), aiming to make the deity’s presence internal and stable, thereby purifying the worshipper and deepening devotional concentration (bhakti and dhyāna).
