Lord Agni (in dialogue tradition, instructing sage Vasiṣṭha)

Related Themes: Agni Purana 81 (pūjā-vidhi, nyāsa, adhvā-śodhana context)
It teaches sṛṣṭi-nyāsa applied to the worshipper, Śiva’s kumbha, the altar, the fire, and the disciple, followed by adhvā-śodhana—systematic purification of the mantra/tattva sequence used in the rite.
It preserves precise, step-by-step āgamic/tantric ritual technology (nyāsa, kumbha-consecration, altar procedure, and adhvā-śodhana), showing the text’s coverage beyond mythology into applied liturgy and mantra-science.
By installing mantras and purifying the adhvā, the practitioner removes ritual impurities and aligns body, altar, and implements with the deity’s order—supporting efficacy of worship and producing purificatory merit (śuddhi and puṇya).
