Related Themes: Agni Purana mantra-kalpa and śuddhi-vidhi passages in the same puja-vidhi/tantra sections; Agni Purana Śaiva mantra discussions referencing Aghora/Puruṣa (where enumerated)
It teaches a stepwise ritual operation: tie a consecratory knot (granthi) with the left hand, purify it with the Aghora mantra, and then consecrate/mark it with the Puruṣa mantra using red sandalwood and saffron.
It preserves precise, practice-oriented liturgical technique—mantra application (Aghora/Puruṣa), hand-procedure (vāmena), and ritual substances (raktacandana/kuṅkuma)—showing the text’s coverage of operational temple/tantric ritual science alongside other disciplines.
The sequence frames sanctification as a threefold act—binding, purification, and auspicious consecration—intended to remove impurity (śodhana) and establish sacred efficacy (saṃskāra) through mantra and sanctified substances.
