The Procedure for General Consecration

गावः प्रीतिं समायान्तु प्रचरन्तु प्रहर्षिताः इति गोपथमुत्सृज्य यूपं तत्र निवेशयेत्

gāvaḥ prītiṃ samāyāntu pracarantu praharṣitāḥ iti gopathamutsṛjya yūpaṃ tatra niveśayet

« Que les vaches parviennent à la satisfaction et se meuvent dans l’allégresse »—ayant ainsi relâché (le troupeau) sur le chemin des vaches (gopatha), qu’on dresse en ce lieu même le poteau sacrificiel (yūpa).
