Related Themes: Agni Purana 65 (Sabhāgṛha-sthāpana—chapter colophon reference); Agni Purana 66 (Sādhāraṇa-pratiṣṭhā-vidhāna—chapter opening)
It introduces the sādhāraṇa-pratiṣṭhā (general consecration) and specifies a communal consecration method aligned with the Vāsudeva model, including the required invocation of key divine groups (Ādityas, Vasus, Rudras, etc.).
It shows the text’s practical ritual-technical scope: chapter transitions, variant manuscript notes, and a structured consecration protocol—illustrating how the Agni Purāṇa functions as a handbook spanning architecture (vāstu), installation (pratiṣṭhā), and liturgical invocations.
By obtaining divine sanction and invoking established devatā-classes, the consecration is framed as ritually valid and spiritually efficacious—aimed at sanctifying a public installation and aligning it with cosmic order (ṛta/dharma).
