It instructs the prescribed construction-rite (vidhi) for making a saptabhauma (seven-storeyed) Hari-gṛha—i.e., a Vishnu temple/edifice—linking correct building procedure with religious merit.
It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s coverage of Vastu-śāstra and temple-building norms alongside theology—treating architecture as a codified, merit-bearing discipline within a broader compendium of practical sciences.
The verse states that undertaking this construction purifies the patron and is believed to uplift the family line, culminating in heavenly enjoyment (svarga-vimoda).
