Chapter 64 — कूपादिप्रतिष्ठाकथनं
The Account of the Consecration of Wells and Other Water-Works

Concept: Ritual efficacy depends on saṃskāra (proper consecration) and pūrṇatā (completion), not merely on permanent infrastructure.
Application: When resources are limited, preserve essentials: auspicious placement, correct agnyādhāna, and a formally complete concluding offering.

Related Themes: Agni Purana 64 (agni-vidhi, maṇḍala-nyāsa, pūrṇāhuti context)
It prescribes specific auspicious ground-diagrams (bhadraka/ardhacandra/svastika) at the entrance for placing kumbhas, and it instructs that agnyādhāna and the pūrṇā-oblation may be performed even when a formal kuṇḍa (fire-pit) is not available.
It combines ritual science (agnyādhāna, offerings) with spatial/diagrammatic and threshold-setup guidance (doorway placements and auspicious designs), showing how the text covers both liturgy and practical ritual architecture/arrangement.
Correct entrance-setup with auspicious symbols and proper fire-establishment is presented as a means of ensuring ritual purity and completeness of the rite, supporting merit (puṇya) through orderly, scripture-aligned performance.
