FAQs

It gives a core Vāstu–Pūjā instruction for temple consecration: in a pañcāyatana (five-shrine) layout, Vāsudeva is installed at the central position, with other deities arranged around.

It demonstrates the Agni Purāṇa’s practical, manual-like coverage of applied sciences (here, Vāstu-śāstra and pratimā/pratiṣṭhā-vidhi), moving from architectural characteristics (prior chapter) to installation protocol (this chapter).

Centering Vāsudeva in the pañcāyatana formalizes the temple as a dharmic field of worship, aiming at purity, merit (puṇya), and orderly devotion through correctly established divine presence.
