FAQs

It enumerates which deities and personified forces (including disease/inauspiciousness) are assigned to a specific astrological division (Sārdhāṃśaka), used for judging auspicious timing and omens.

By cataloging deity–sector correspondences that bridge cosmology, astrology (Jyotiṣa), and practical life-applications such as selecting times and assessing health/inauspicious influences (e.g., Yakṣmā).

Knowing the presiding forces of a sector supports dharmic decision-making—avoiding pāpa-associated indications and aligning actions with benefic divine influences, thereby reducing obstacles and karmic harm.
