Par le homa (offrande au feu) avec du ghee et du guggulu, on peut accomplir même ce qui est tenu pour impossible ; et par la récitation du Śastra-Pāśupata, on obtient une pacification complète des afflictions et des obstacles.
Lord Agni (in discourse to Sage Vasiṣṭha, as per the Agni Purana’s common narrative frame)

Related Themes: Agni Purana 321 (Pāśupata-śānti context); Agni Purana 322 (Aghora-astra/ṣaḍaṅga continuation)
It prescribes a specific prayoga: a homa using ghṛta (ghee) and guggulu resin, and the recitation (paṭha) of the Śastra-Pāśupata, stated to produce śānti (pacification) and success even in difficult aims.
It exemplifies the text’s practical ritual-technology—linking materials (ghee, guggulu), rite-type (homa), and mantra-recitation (Pāśupata/śastra-oriented) to concrete outcomes (śānti, obstacle-removal), showing the Purana’s coverage beyond mythology into applied mantra and śānti-karmas.
The verse frames homa and mantra-recitation as purificatory and appeasing acts that calm adverse forces and obstacles, implying merit through disciplined ritual action and devotional recitation that restores harmony (śānti).
