FAQs

It lists specific Gaṇeśa epithets/forms and the protective bīja “hūṃ” to be used as part of the bāhya (external) sequence of Vighneśa worship for vighna-śānti (obstacle pacification).

It preserves a compact ritual rubric—names, mantra-seed, and an ‘outer worship’ structure—showing the Agni Purana functioning as a practical manual of pūjā-vidhi alongside its many other domains (dharma, polity, medicine, arts).

Invoking Vighneśa as ‘Vighnanāśana’ with the bīja “hūṃ” is prescribed to clear impediments, protect the rite, and secure auspicious commencement and completion of religious acts.
