Concept: Dravya-śuddhi and devatā-sambandha are established by mantra at each material step (milk, grain, final offering).

Application: When offering arghya, synchronize each ingredient addition with its mantra; treat the final hand-placement as the completion (saṃpūrti) of the upacāra.

FAQs

It teaches arghya-preparation and placement: add milk and barley to the offering while invoking specific mantras, then formally deposit the arghya into the hand as part of pūjā-upacāra.

Beyond theology, it preserves step-by-step liturgical technique—mantra-linked ingredients and precise offering gestures—showing the text’s breadth as a practical ritual handbook.

Performing arghya correctly with mantra and prescribed substances is understood to purify the act of worship, honor the deity properly, and generate puṇya through disciplined, rule-based devotion.
