FAQs

It imparts Jyotiṣa-vidyā style cosmological detail: Budha (Mercury) is described with a specific chariot-material (wind-and-fire substances) and a standard iconographic/astronomical attribute (eight horses).

By cataloging graha-lore—lineage (Budha as Chandra’s son), vehicle composition, and movement—the text preserves a compact reference-style account of planetary cosmology alongside its many other sciences and arts.

Contemplation and recitation of graha-descriptions are traditionally linked with graha-śānti (pacification) and right understanding of cosmic order, supporting dharmic living aligned with time and celestial influences.
