The Procedure for Śrāddha
उपचारा ऋजुकुशास्तिलार्थैश् च यवैर् इह तृप्तिप्रश्नस्तु सम्पन्नं सुसम्पन्नं वदेद्द्विजः
upacārā ṛjukuśāstilārthaiś ca yavair iha tṛptipraśnastu sampannaṃ susampannaṃ vadeddvijaḥ
Ici, après avoir offert les upacāras requis — kuśa bien droite, sésame, nourriture de piṇḍa (anna) et orge (yava) — le prêtre deux-fois-né (dvija) doit procéder à la « question de satisfaction » et déclarer : « Cela a été accompli comme il se doit ; cela a été accompli très parfaitement. »
