Related Themes: Agni Purana 282 (shotha and shodhana-related yogas nearby)
It gives Ayurvedic chikitsā: specific drug-combinations (vyoṣa-powder with kṣāra, fruit-decoction, and a guḍa–śigru–trivṛt preparation with saindhava) indicated to reduce śotha (swelling).
Alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purana preserves practical Ayurveda—listing actionable formulations, dosage-forms (powder, kṣāra, kvātha), and indications—showing its wide, encyclopedic scope.
By promoting healing and relief of suffering through dharmic, traditional medicine, the instruction supports welfare (lokasaṃgraha) and is aligned with the Purāṇic ideal of compassionate, merit-bearing care.
