कृतो ऽस्य चूडाकरणश्च देवा विप्रण मित्रावरुणात्मजेन नवाब्दिकस्य व्रतबन्धनं च वेदे च शास्त्रे विधिपारगो ऽबूत्
kṛto 'sya cūḍākaraṇaśca devā vipraṇa mitrāvaruṇātmajena navābdikasya vratabandhanaṃ ca vede ca śāstre vidhipārago 'būt
Oh dioses, su cūḍākaraṇa (tonsura) fue realizada por un brāhmaṇa, hijo de Mitra y Varuṇa. A los nueve años se efectuó también su upanayana / vrata-bandhana (iniciación al voto); y llegó a ser un conocedor consumado del debido procedimiento en el Veda y en los śāstras.
