Verse 31

Niralamba

शिष्य इति च विद्याध्वस्तप्रपञ्चावगाहितज्ञानावशिष्टं ब्रह्मैव शिष्यः ॥३१॥

शिष्यः । इति । च । विद्या-ध्वस्त-प्रपञ्च-अवगाहित-ज्ञान-अवशिष्टम् । ब्रह्म । एव । शिष्यः ॥

śiṣya iti ca vidyā-dhvasta-prapañcāvagāhita-jñānāvaśiṣṭaṃ brahmaiva śiṣyaḥ ॥31॥

Y “discípulo” — aquel en quien, por el conocimiento que ha penetrado el mundo fenoménico y lo ha disuelto, lo que permanece es sólo Brahman; ése, en verdad, es el discípulo.

And ‘disciple’—that (one) in whom, through knowledge that has penetrated the phenomenal world and dissolved it, what remains is Brahman alone—he indeed is the disciple.
