IAST Transliteration

kartṛtvādy-ahaṅkāra-saṅkalpo bandhaḥ ||20||

Translation

La esclavitud es el saṅkalpa de la egoidad (ahaṅkāra), que comienza con el sentido de ser el hacedor (kartṛtva) y lo semejante.

Bondage is the volitional construction (saṅkalpa) of egoity (ahaṅkāra), beginning with the sense of doership (kartṛtva) and the like.
