ऋचो अक्षरे परमे व्योमन् । यस्मिन् देवा अधि विश्वे निषेदुः । यस्तन्न वेद किमृचा करिष्यति । य इत्तद्विदुस्त इमे समासते । इत्युपनिषत् ॥ ९ ॥
ऋचः । अक्षरे । परमे । व्योमन् । यस्मिन् । देवाः । अधि । विश्वे । निषेदुः । यः । तत् । न । वेद । किम् । ऋचा । करिष्यति । यः । इत् । तत् । विदुः । ते । इमे । सम्-आसते । इति । उपनिषत् ।
ṛco akṣare parame vyoman | yasmin devā adhi viśve niṣedhuḥ | yastan na veda kimṛcā kariṣyati | ya it tad vidus ta ime samāsate | ity upaniṣat || 9 ||
Los himnos ṛc están en el Akṣara imperecedero, en el espacio supremo, donde todos los dioses han tomado asiento. Quien no conoce eso, ¿qué hará con el ṛc? Pero quienes en verdad lo conocen, éstos se sientan (allí) juntos. Así es la Upaniṣad.
The ṛc-verses (hymns) are in the imperishable (akṣara), in the supreme space, wherein all the gods have taken their seat. He who does not know that—what will he do with the ṛc? Those who indeed know that—these sit (there) together.
