यो विलङ्घ्याश्रमान्वर्णानात्मन्येव स्थितः सदा । अतिवर्णाश्रमी योगी अवधूतः स कथ्यते॥३॥

IAST Transliteration

yo vilaṅghyāśramān varṇān ātmany eva sthitaḥ sadā | ativarṇāśramī yogī avadhūtaḥ sa kathyate ||3||

Translation

Aquel que, habiendo trascendido los cuatro āśramas y las cuatro varṇas, permanece siempre establecido sólo en el Sí mismo—ese yogui, más allá de varṇa y āśrama, es llamado Avadhūta.

Academic Translation

He who, having transcended the (four) āśramas and the (four) varṇas, remains always established in the Self alone—such a yogin, beyond varṇa and āśrama, is called an Avadhūta.
