Agastya
Tirtha: Ayodhyā (Sāketa)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Vyāsa
Scene: Viṣṇuśarman, a meditative Vaiṣṇava pilgrim, arrives at Ayodhyā with staff and waterpot, eyes calm from yoga; in his thought-bubble/gesture is the resolve: ‘Here Viṣṇu dwells in person.’ The city’s temples and the river landscape welcome him.
Bhakti matures into pilgrimage: the devotee seeks the Lord not only inwardly through meditation but outwardly by visiting the Lord’s cherished kṣetra.
Ayodhyā is glorified as a place where Viṣṇu is believed to dwell sākṣāt—personally and tangibly present.
Pilgrimage (tīrthayātrā) is indicated, though no step-by-step rite is detailed in this verse.
