Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 24
श्रीभगवानुवाच । एतद्रूपं मया शक्र कृतं तस्य वधाय वै । अवध्यः सर्वभूतानां यतोन्येषां मया हतः
śrībhagavānuvāca | etadrūpaṃ mayā śakra kṛtaṃ tasya vadhāya vai | avadhyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ yatonyeṣāṃ mayā hataḥ
El Bienaventurado Señor dijo: «Oh Śakra, asumí en verdad esta forma para darle muerte; pues era invulnerable para todos los seres—por eso fue muerto por Mí, y no por otros».
