Type: kshetra
Scene: Dakṣa stands with folded hands, head bowed, offering a fourfold salutation to Śiva—Varada, Devēśvara, Hara, Śambhu—against a Himalayan Kedāra backdrop with a liṅga shrine and drifting clouds.
Śiva is praised as the highest refuge—boon-giver, lord of gods, and the intimate protector of all beings.
While the verse is a hymn, it appears in Kedārakhaṇḍa, reinforcing Kedāra’s Śaiva māhātmya through praise of the presiding Lord.
Stotra (recitation of praise) and namaskāra (salutation) are implied devotional practices.
