दाक्षायण्या कृतं यच्च न दृष्टं किं त्वयानघ । त्वं चापि यज्ञे दक्षस्य अवदानार्थमागतः । अवदानं प्रयच्छामि तव चापि महाभूज
dākṣāyaṇyā kṛtaṃ yacca na dṛṣṭaṃ kiṃ tvayānagha | tvaṃ cāpi yajñe dakṣasya avadānārthamāgataḥ | avadānaṃ prayacchāmi tava cāpi mahābhūja
Oh, impecable, ¿acaso no has visto lo que ha hecho Dakṣāyaṇī (Satī)? Y tú también has venido al sacrificio de Dakṣa buscando la porción que te corresponde. Yo te concederé tu parte asimismo, oh de brazos poderosos.
