देवा ऊचुः । मदनद्वं समर्थोसि अस्माञ्जेतुं सदैव हि । महेशं प्रति गच्छाशु सुरकार्यार्थसिद्धये । पार्वत्या सहितं शंभुं कुरुष्वाद्य महामते
devā ūcuḥ | madanadvaṃ samarthosi asmāñjetuṃ sadaiva hi | maheśaṃ prati gacchāśu surakāryārthasiddhaye | pārvatyā sahitaṃ śaṃbhuṃ kuruṣvādya mahāmate
Los dioses dijeron: «Oh Madana, siempre eres capaz de vencernos incluso a nosotros. Ve pronto ante Maheśa para que se cumpla el propósito de los dioses. Oh magnánimo, somete hoy a Śambhu—junto con Pārvatī—bajo tu influjo.»
