बर्बरीक उवाच । अहं कुरुकुलोत्पन्नः पांडुपुत्रस्य पौत्रकः । बर्बरीक इति ख्यातस्तं दैत्यं हंतुमागतः
barbarīka uvāca | ahaṃ kurukulotpannaḥ pāṃḍuputrasya pautrakaḥ | barbarīka iti khyātastaṃ daityaṃ haṃtumāgataḥ
Barbarīka dijo: «He nacido en el linaje de los Kuru, nieto del hijo de Pāṇḍu. Conocido como Barbarīka, he venido a dar muerte a ese daitya».
