Devas (as narrated by Sūta)
Listener: Śiva (and Devī)
Scene: The devas, overcome, weep openly before Śiva and Devī, repeating ‘Save us!’; their bodies bend low, hands clasped, tears visible, the court charged with urgency.
True surrender (śaraṇāgati) is voiced plainly—seeking refuge in the Divine when all other supports fail.
No tīrtha is mentioned; the verse centers on prayer and refuge.
No formal rite is prescribed, but devotional supplication and repeated plea (trāhi) are exemplified.
