Type: kshetra
Scene: A venerable sage, staff in hand, is depicted as a traveler of the three worlds; behind him, symbolic layers—earthly rivers, celestial realms, and netherworld motifs—suggest triloka knowledge as he prepares to speak.
Sacred knowledge is entrusted to realized sages; their lived experience becomes the basis for tīrtha-māhātmya transmission.
The verse continues the request to describe “this tīrtha,” without naming it.
No ritual is prescribed; the emphasis is on śravaṇa (hearing) from a qualified authority.
