पादेनैकेन यस्तिष्ठेत्सहस्रं शरदां शतम् । अब्दं गंगांबुपो यस्तु तयोर्गंगांबुपोऽधिकः

Transliteration

pādenaikena yastiṣṭhetsahasraṃ śaradāṃ śatam | abdaṃ gaṃgāṃbupo yastu tayorgaṃgāṃbupo'dhikaḥ

Translation

Aunque alguien permaneciera sobre un solo pie durante un tiempo inconmensurable—como mil veces cien otoños—con todo, quien bebe agua de la Gaṅgā durante un año es proclamado superior a esos dos en mérito espiritual.
