शासनं चेन्न दृष्टं वो नैव तत्पालयाम्यहम् । द्विजाः कोपसमाविष्टा ददुः प्रत्युत्तरं तदा
śāsanaṃ cenna dṛṣṭaṃ vo naiva tatpālayāmyaham | dvijāḥ kopasamāviṣṭā daduḥ pratyuttaraṃ tadā
«Si no habéis visto el mandato (la autoridad), yo no lo sostendré.» Entonces los nacidos dos veces, poseídos por la ira, dieron su respuesta.
