Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It declares Shiva as Pati—the unborn, uncaused Supreme—who is not conditioned by impurity (mala) or māyā, guiding the seeker toward liberation through recognizing His transcendence.
While Shiva is birthless and beyond māyā, devotees approach Him through Saguna worship such as the Linga, which serves as an accessible form pointing to His Nirguna reality.
Meditate on Shiva as ajā (unborn) while repeating the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and cultivate inner purity to transcend mala and māyā.
