It highlights bhakti expressed as careful, role-appropriate seva—outer purity and auspicious preparation offered with devotion, supporting inner orientation toward Pati (Shiva).
The verse depicts preparatory acts (anointing, auspicious items) that commonly accompany Saguna worship—honoring Shiva through orderly, beautiful offerings and respectful service that steadies the mind for pūjā.
It suggests pūjā-preparation and disciplined seva: gathering and preparing auspicious materials with cleanliness and attentiveness, then offering them in a focused, devotional state (bhāva) before Shiva.
