Oh Potencia divina portadora de Victoria, eres supremamente diestra en disponer la protección de quienes se refugian en Ti. Tú eres el mismo brotar que surge cuando la Victoria arranca de raíz el árbol venenoso del saṃsāra.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
It praises the saving grace that protects the surrendered devotee and portrays liberation as the uprooting of saṃsāra—like destroying a poisonous tree—through divine victory and compassion.
In Saguna worship, the devotee takes refuge in Shiva together with His Shakti; the Linga becomes the focal support for surrender, through which protective grace is experienced and bondage is cut at the root.
Practice śaraṇāgati (refuge) with japa of the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” accompanied by simple Linga-pūjā; contemplate saṃsāra as a “poison-tree” being uprooted by Shiva’s grace.
