त्रय एव गणाः प्रोक्ता देवतानां स्वयंभुवा । दिवस्पतिस्तमिन्द्रो वै विचित्रश्चित्र एव च
traya eva gaṇāḥ proktā devatānāṃ svayaṃbhuvā | divaspatistamindro vai vicitraścitra eva ca

The verse itself is descriptive, but its takeaway supports Shaiva practice: prioritize Śiva-upāsanā—japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), wearing rudrākṣa, and applying tripuṇḍra—over seeking deva-centered boons.
