En aquel lugar supremamente deleitoso, la presencia de los dioses se percibe en plenitud. Esta isla está ceñida por el océano, custodiada y delimitada por el orden divino.

Sthala Purana: This is a cosmographic description of a dvīpa: a delightful divine-protected island where devas are palpably present; it is not tied to a specific Jyotirliṅga shrine narrative.
Significance: Frames sacred space as ‘deva-sānnidhya’—places where divine proximity supports dharma, purity, and devotion, functioning as a purāṇic template for tīrtha-kṣetra sanctity.
It emphasizes sānnidhya—transformative nearness to the divine—showing that sacred spaces are sanctified by the presence of higher beings and by an ordered, protected spiritual environment aligned with Pati (Śiva).
By portraying a realm where divine presence is palpable and protected, it supports Saguna worship: devotees approach Śiva through consecrated forms and places (including the Liṅga and tīrthas) where grace and auspiciousness are especially accessible.
Seek sānnidhya through tīrtha-yātrā and temple darśana, and stabilize devotion with japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") while maintaining purity and restraint—mirroring the verse’s theme of protected, ordered sanctity.
