Suta Goswami (narrating the Uma-saṃhitā teaching to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It teaches that inner single-minded devotion to Śiva (ekabhāva) yields merit surpassing even the greatest external charity, indicating that grace and focused surrender are higher than mere worldly accumulation of punya.
Ekabhāva is practically cultivated through steady Linga-upāsanā—regular pūjā, dhyāna, and remembrance—where the mind is gathered into one devotion toward Saguna Śiva as the accessible form of the Supreme Pati.
One-pointed japa and dhyāna are implied—especially continuous repetition of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with disciplined worship, helping the mind remain fixed on Śiva rather than dispersed in many aims.
