FAQs

It proclaims that sincere Śaiva devotion yields akṣaya (imperishable) spiritual merit, benefiting both present life and the hereafter—showing Shiva as Pati who grants enduring grace beyond temporary rewards.

By equating the fruit to the Aśvamedha, the verse elevates accessible Saguna worship—such as Linga-pūjā, mantra-japa, and offerings—as capable of producing the highest sacrificial merit through Shiva’s grace rather than mere ritual complexity.

A practical takeaway is steady Linga worship with devotion—supported by Panchākṣara japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and traditional Śaiva observances like bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa—performed with faith for akṣaya phala.
