FAQs

It teaches that dissolution (pralaya) is not chaos but Shiva’s orderly grace: the Lord manifests Rudra as the power that withdraws names and forms, urging the seeker to detach from the transient and seek the eternal Pati (Shiva).

Rudra here is Shiva’s Saguna function as the dissolver; Linga worship trains the mind to see all forms returning to the formless ground—Shiva as the substratum beyond creation and dissolution.

A practical takeaway is dissolution-meditation with the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), contemplating the withdrawal of the moving and unmoving universe into Shiva, supported by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as a reminder of impermanence.
