Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva’s anugraha (grace): when a devotee offers sincere stuti and complete humility, the Lord responds personally—lifting the surrendered soul from the “ground” of fear, ego, and bondage toward dignity and liberation.
Though Śiva is ultimately beyond form (Nirguṇa), the Purāṇa emphasizes His accessible Saguna compassion. Devotional praise and prostration before the Liṅga or the personal Lord becomes a direct means to receive His protective presence and upliftment.
Practice namaskāra (prostration) with stotra-pāṭha and Panchākṣarī japa—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—cultivating humility and surrender; this inner posture is the key teaching implied by the scene.
