Mandado por Él para la protección de aquellas vacas, permaneció siempre dichoso. Habiendo alcanzado esa dicha, también él se entregó al esparcimiento, diestro en el recreo, sin inquietud, mientras cumplía el deber que le fue asignado.

It highlights Shaiva dharma: when one accepts a righteous duty as an offering to the Lord (Pati), the mind becomes steady and content; such inner ease is a fruit of aligned action rather than mere sense-enjoyment.
Obedience to Shiva’s command reflects Saguna devotion—serving the Lord’s will in the world. In Shaiva Siddhanta, such service purifies the pashu (individual soul) and supports steadiness in worship, including Linga-upasana.
The takeaway is niyama and seva: perform one’s appointed duty with calmness while remembering Shiva—e.g., daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to keep the mind content and duty-focused.
