Rudra Enters the Battlefield; the Daityas’ Arrow-Storm

Luego Jalandhara, con el ánimo por completo poseído por la cólera, movido por la ira invocó a Rudra en el campo de batalla, rugiendo con un estruendo como de rayo feroz.
Sūta Goswāmī (narrating the Yuddhakhaṇḍa account to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Type: rudram
It highlights how krodha (anger) overtakes the bound soul and drives it toward confrontation with the Divine; Rudra’s presence signifies that the Lord, as Pati, confronts and subdues adharma born of ego and rage.
Rudra here is Saguna Shiva—the manifest, protective and fierce form who enters history to restore dharma. The Linga worship trains the devotee to approach Shiva with humility and surrender, not with the asuric impulse to “summon” or challenge Him.
A practical takeaway is krodha-śānti through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and Tripuṇḍra-bhasma dhāraṇa, cultivating inner coolness and devotion instead of reactive anger.
