Satī’s Yogic Abandonment of the Body

It teaches one-pointed absorption (ekāgratā) in the refuge of Śiva—symbolized by His feet—where devotion and yogic concentration mature into direct inner perception (darśana) of the Lord.
Satī’s focus on Śiva’s feet reflects saguna-upāsanā: fixing the mind on a sacred form or symbol of Śiva (including the Śiva-liṅga) until the devotee’s awareness becomes steady and Śiva is realized as present.
Practice dhyāna with unwavering attention on Śiva (often supported by japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), treating His feet as the inner altar; let devotion stabilize the mind into yogic stillness rather than scattering attention.
